properties :

 A clear, colorless liquid with a pleasant odor. Flash point 66°F. Denser than water and slightly soluble in water. Vapors are heavier than air. Used to make other chemicals and as a special purpose solvent.

usage :

1. It is perfect methylating agent, carbonylating agent, methylolation methoxylation agent in place of the traditional material such as phosgene, dimethyl sulfate and methyl chloride and so on;

2. It can be used in synthesis of polycarbonate, diphenyl carbonate, isocynate,allyl-diglycolcarbonate,synthesis of all category of polycarbonate;

3.It also can be used as gasoline additive, solvent for special paints and medicine;

4. As a perfect medium of lithium cell in battery industry.
